‘THE SHACK’, an analysis
by Loren davis

After reading ‘The Shack’ closely, I am convinced the
purpose of the author is to destroy faith in the Bible; our Father God, Jesus
Christ and the Holy Spirit.
*As of February 2010 over 3 million copies of ‘The Shack’
have been sold.
*NOTE: Page numbers
from “The Shack” are placed by quotes or statements to document them.
MY ANALYSIS
I have come to realize that many Christians have become very
emotionally attached to ‘The Shack’ and it has become difficult for them to
detach themselves enough to look at this book objectively.
Consider! The author’s quotes
are from non-Christians philosophers.
On the front cover, Eugene
Peterson, the author of the ‘The Message’, praises ‘The Shack’. It is important to note that Peterson’s ‘The
Message’, greatly changes the Bible and its major themes even regarding
Christ’s divinity. ‘The Message’ very
much parallels the NIV and NASB which, for example, changes John 3:16 from
Jesus being the ‘only begotten’ Son
of God, to being God’s ‘one and only
son’. This change does away with
Jesus fulfilling the prophecy of His virgin birth. Daniel 3:25 in The Message changes the KJV from saying regarding the three Hebrew children, “…the fourth man
was like to the Son of God” to “…the fourth man was like a son of the gods”, which is pagan. (See the article ‘Changing the Bible’ on www.lorendavis.com and www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/themessage.htm )
The author of ‘The Shack’ does not even claim to be a
Christian. ‘The Shack’ refers to no scriptures. It is endorsed by Plain
Truth Magazine which was founded by Herbert
W. Armstrong who was head of the Worldwide Church of God. This has long been recognized as a cult that
teaches unsound doctrine. see.www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/Cults/armstrong.htm / ‘The Shack’ is also endorsed by Patrick M. Roddy, a producer for the liberal ABC news. It’s significant to note that ABC is openly
pro homosexual and anti-Christian.
Another endorser is Kathie Lee Gifford, Co-host of NBC’s Today Show. NBC is
also openly liberal and anti-Christian.
On the back of the of ‘The Shack’ it says that the book is fiction, but in the ‘Forward’, p. 13, the author
says he’s not sure if all this story is true or not, so from the
beginning, the author intentionally sends mixed signals that much of this story
might be true. ‘The Shack’
portrays what the author believes that God and truth ought to be, rather than
what the Bible says about God and truth.
He creates his own god and presents his own theology which is a stew of
many doctrines. His viewpoints are really just a consensus of the current New
Age philosophy and mythological fantasy.
p. 7, ‘The SHACK’ Is THE story of a man who
claims to have spent a whole weekend with God.
This analysis will
show that this book is a political tool
WHICH IS ESPOUSING THE PHILOSOPHY of the new age. HE IS DOING THIS FOR THE PURPOSE OF facilitatING the BRINGING ABOUT of A ONE WORLD RELIGION UNDER
THE U.N.
The story opens by telling of Mack’s dysfunctional
relationship with his father who is portrayed as a strange hostile mix towards
Christianity. He is a Bible toting,
beer drinking child abuser. The story
progresses to the time when Mack is married with a family of his own. At one point in the story it tells how Mack
took his children on a camping trip.
During the camping trip his six year old daughter was abducted, which of
course led to incredible distress and panic by her father. The police study the crime and discover that
all signs point to her being kidnapped by a noted serial killer who targets
little girls. The author labels the
kidnapper with the emotionally charged label of ‘The Little Lady Killer’. Of course, her father is extremely
distraught. While looking for her deep
in the woods he finds her bloody dress and discovers that she has been brutally
murdered. This story instantly defiles
the reader and opens them up to horrifying emotions of identification with the
little girl and her father. As the
story progresses, Mack speaks of his personal agony and guilt for not
protecting his young daughter and for allowing this to happen. He then begins to question God. p. 59, 63, 65
‘The Shack’ uses psychology to skillfully manipulate the
rawest of human emotions, particularly targeting women. By doing so, he un- earth’s the deepest
pains, regrets and disappointments that most people have suffered in one way or
another, even bitterness and disappointment that people have had lying dormant
for years. He then begins to exploit
them with his own analysis or theology about God and truth. His thinking
questions the God and Jesus of the Bible.
This plays to the carnal mind.
‘The Shack‘ operates in the realm of the emotions, mysticism and superstition.
WE WERE WARNED IN THE
BIBLE THAT THIS WAS COMING
2 Corinthians 11:4… “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus , whom we have not
preached, or if ye receive another
spirit, which ye have not received, or another
gospel…“ KJV
AFTER HIS DAUGHTERS
DEATH Mack gets a note from God. p. 19, 67, 71
The note itself leads one to lay aside reason and to delve
deep into a mystical experience. This
book is emphasizing the seeking of spiritual experiences with ‘God’ taking
the place of biblical truth. ‘The
Shack’ disguises itself a spiritual book.
It is a spiritual book, but from the dark side and not from the Spirit
of God. The greatest deception about the book is that it makes references to
things the Bible talks about, while at the same time discounting the Bible
itself. It is bait and switch.
Remember, in Jesus’ temptation, Satan misused scriptures and
quoted them to Him trying to deceive Him.
Revelation 18:23, referring to Satan… “For by thy sorceries
were all nations deceived.”KJV
The god of ‘The Shack’
‘The Shack’ redefines God.
First of all it follows the popular trend of creating gender
confusion and applying it to God.
The god of ‘The Shack’ is a goddess, a
large black woman. Why?
Historically female deities known as goddesses are found in all pagan religions
such as the Greeks, Romans, Mayans, etc.
The feminization of God is what the feminist movement has been trying to
do for years, even making a feminist translation of the Bible which refers to
God as ‘She’.
p. 93… Later ‘The
Shack’ goddess switches and becomes a man. ‘The Shack’’s god can become male or female, depending on if
you need a mother or father figure at the time. Some famous preachers in the Charismatic Movement also teach that
God is as much female as He is male. This is sending a confused, mixed signal
about God, as if He is a cross gender transvestite. A god who is half male and
half female is found in Hinduism. His name is Shiva. The author is playing mind games
with the reader using semantics by calling HIS female goddess, by the
male term ‘Papa’. The word ‘Papa’, is an endearment term one can use for one’s
dad, but calling God ‘Papa’ is very familiar.
Using the word ‘Papa’ with God is putting Him on our own human level and
becoming very familiar or equal with Him. NOTE: The Bible repeatedly calls God, ‘Father’. Not once
does the Bible refer to God as ‘Mother’ or ‘She’.
2 Corinthians 1:3… “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies…” KJV
Not only does the author play the gender card of God, in
defiance of the scriptures, he also introduces the racial card. He says that Mack thought that “God would
be white”. P. 86, 87, 93. Why even go there? Again he is playing on guilt and no one can comment without being
accused of being a racist. Race is a
non-issue regarding God. We all came
from Adam and Noah.
‘The Shack’ has Mack seeing God in person.
John 1:18 “No man
hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of
the Father, he hath declared him.” KJV
John 4:24 “God is a
Spirit: (not flesh and blood), and they that worship him must worship him
in spirit and in truth.” KJV
‘The Shack’ says that his god has big scars on His wrist just like
Jesus. The author’s fantasizing has no
boundaries. The Bible never says that God the Father was
crucified. This minimizes Jesus
Christ’s sacrifice.
‘The Shack’ has
contempt for calling God THE ALMIGHTY.
He brings God down to the human level, even having his god using
colloquial language. ‘The Shack’, p. 88, quotes Jacques Allul, ‘ Anarchy and
Christianity,’ “No matter what God’s
power may be, the first aspect of God is never that of the ABSOLUTE
MASTER, THE ALMIGHTY. It is that of
the God who puts himself on our human level and limits himself.” This
philosophy is what the carnal man wants.
He wants to be His own Master, not God.
The scriptures call
God ‘The Almighty’. Genesis 17:1, 28:3, Rev 16:7, 21:22. Regarding disagreeing with what the bible says
about god…The Bible is absolute truth!
Matthew 4:4 …“But he answered and said, It is written, Man
shall not live by bread alone , but by every word that proceedeth out of the
mouth of God.” KJV
Revelation 22:18-19… “If any man shall add unto these
things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the
words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the
book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written
in this book.” KJV
The god of ‘The Shack’ SAYS GOD LIMITS HIMSELF.
1 Samuel 14:6 “…there is no restraint to the Lord” KJV
The god of ‘The Shack’
says… she/he LIKES TO LISTEN TO FUNK AND HARD ROCK MUSIC
p. 90 . He says that God is not offended at the filthy and
rebellious lyrics. They don’t bother
her/him.
It’s important to note that before The Fall, Lucifer
was the chief musician in heaven.
After The Fall he has used his Satanic music to seduce the masses to
following all the lusts of the flesh. Ezekiel 28:13. The Israelites were
playing the music of the Baal worshipping Egyptians as they were openly
committing sin around the Golden Calf. See Exodus 32. THE THREE HEBREW CHILDREN. Daniel 3:7… “Therefore at that time, when
all the people heard the sound of the
cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the
people, the nations, and the languages, fell
down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set
up.” KJV
Don’t tell me God enjoys the music of His archenemy
Satan. Seeing how Rock music has taken
front and center in much of Christianity, this statement is hardly challenged
by most Christians.
Luke 4:34 …“I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.”
KJV
James 1:13 …“God cannot be tempted with evil …, neither
tempteth he any man…but every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own
lust and enticed.” KJV
Psalm 7:11 …“God is angry with the wicked every day.” KJV
p. 182 . The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says,
“I’m not a Christian” Do you think Father God was ashamed of His Son
Jesus? These are not the words of a
child of God, but of a Universalist.
Mark 1:11 “And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased.”
p. 182. ‘The Shack’s’ goddess says, “I have no desire to make them
Christian…”
Acts 11:26… “And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” KJV
Mark 16:15-16… “Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but
he that believeth not shall be damned.” KJV
P.
204 The author says ‘God’ is a ‘verb’,
not a noun
A noun is a person, place or thing. Therefore, he strongly implies God is
impersonal, just a verb, which would mean He is just an action. This again brings confusion about God.
1 Corinthians 14:33 …“For God is not the author of
confusion.“ KJV
‘THE JESUS OF ‘THE SHACK’
p. 113. ‘The Shack’
portrays Jesus as being ugly; having a big nose, (a stereotype of a Jew?) and,
as a clumsy klutz. Question, if you had a friend who was ugly would you ever
tell them? The author’s description of
Jesus in itself is an indicator of what he thinks about Him. Jesus is portrayed as still being human,
although the Bible tells us that He now has a resurrected glorified body. ‘The
Shack’s god calls Jesus ‘boy’. Calling
Jesus ‘boy’, ugly, with a big nose and a klutz greatly degrades the Messiah,
the Savior of the world. Isaiah 53
describes how He was brutalized physically by the crucifixion, but it never
said He had a big nose nor was a klutz.
This is intentionally negatively re-imaging Jesus. p. 117
in ‘the shack’ Mack says Jesus is less Godlike of the three. Ridiculous! Jesus is the second member of the Trinity,
the godhead.
John 1:1 …“In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:10 …“He was in
the world, and the world was made by him,
and the world knew him not.”
John 5:23… “That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not
the Father, He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath
sent Him.”
‘The Shack’ , referring to god, says, ‘We three
spoke ourself into human existence as the Son of God, we became fully
human.” This is the same
terminology the ‘Jesus Only’ movement uses.
That is not scriptural!
Jesus was the only one of the
Godhead who became flesh.
John 1:14 …“And the
Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” KJV
1 Timothy 3:16-4:1 Referring to Jesus, “God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of
angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into
glory.” KJV
Referring to Mack
seeing Jesus in person. Matthew 24:23, 25-26… “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo,
here is Christ, or there; believe it not.” “Behold, I have told you
before. Wherefore if they shall say
unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the
secret chambers; believe it not.”
KJV
A vision of Jesus is one thing, but literally seeing Him
physically, Jesus said, don’t believe it!
‘THE SHACK’ says that
JESUS HAS NO POWER IN HIMSELF.
Some
preachers in the Charismatic Movement say the same thing, but the Bible says,
John 5:26… “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath
he given to the Son to have life in
himself;” KJV
Matthew 28:18… “And Jesus came and
spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth”.
Jesus is the Creator. John 1:3 …“All things were
made by him; and without him was not
anything made that was made.” KJV
p. 100
‘The
Shack’ says, “Jesus, as a human being, had no power within himself to heal
anyone.”
John 5:26 …“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath
he given to the Son to have life in
himself;” KJV
Luke 7:22 …“Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your
way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see ,
the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to
the poor the gospel is preached.” KJV
‘The Shack’s Jesus tells Mack, “I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN.”
“THOSE WHO LOVE ME
COME FROM EVERY SYSTEM THAT EXISTS.
THEY WERE BUDDHISTS OR MORMONS, BAPTISTS, MUSLIMS…” “I HAVE FOLLOWERS…SOME ARE BOOKIES,
AMERICANS AND IRAQIS, JEWS AND PALESTINIANS. I HAVE NO DESIRE TO MAKE THEM CHRISTIAN.”
What the author of ‘The Shack’ is saying is that Jesus has
followers who don’t believe he is the only begotten Son of God, the Messiah,
the Savior. Again, this shows the
author is not a Christian but a secular Universalist.
Acts 4:12… “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
KJV
John 14:6 …“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way , the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” KJV
Acts 16:30-31 “Sirs,
what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy
house.” KJV
John 3:36 …“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting
life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of
God abideth on him.” KJV
(See the article
‘Jesus is the Only Savior of the World’ on www.lorendavis.com)
THE HOLY SPIRIT OF
‘THE SHACK’
The Holy Spirit is portrayed as an oriental woman who
manifests physically and is portrayed in human likeness.
The Bible says the
Holy Spirit is a spirit, not
flesh and blood. There is no record in
the Bible of anyone ever seeing the Holy Spirit.
In ‘THE SHACK’, GOD HAS HEIRARCHY; THERE IS NO
CHAIN OF COMMAND. p. 121, 145
p. 124. The author says that the
godhead is “unencumbered by structure”
1 Corinthians 11:3…
“and the head of Christ is God.”
KJV
John 14:28 , Jesus said…“for my Father is greater than I.” KJV
John 5:30 …“because I seek not mine own will, but the will of
the Father which hath sent me.” KJV
p. 122, 123. The Holy Spirit is referred to as “A free spirit.” This infers that the
Holy Spirit does His own thing and is not accountable or answerable to the
Father or Jesus nor works in conjunction with them.
This is exactly how many in the
Charismatic movement view the Holy Spirit, that He is a ‘free spirit’, the
final word even above the written Word, the Bible. See Hebrews 1:2
John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which
is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your remembrance , whatsoever I (Jesus)have
said unto you.” KJV
Psalm 1:2 …“But his delight is in
the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
‘The goddess of ‘THE
SHACK’ implies that THERE IS ALSO NO HIERARCHY IN THE HOME
p. 148 Men and women
are equal. Whereas we know that men and women
are equal in the eyes of God, God did set up a hierarchy for the home.
1 Corinthians 11:3 … “But I would have you know, that the
head of every man is Christ; and the
head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” KJV
The god of ‘The Shack’ rejects the Bible’s teachings that
man is to be the head of the home.
‘The Shack’s’ goddess
is A SEXIST TOWARDS MALES
p.47. The female god
of ‘The Shack’ says, “Males seem to be the cause of so much
pain in the world.”
p. 192. ‘The Shack’ goddess says, ‘Men are such idiots sometimes.”
p. 147-148. ‘The Shack’s’ Jesus says, “The world, in many
ways, would be a much calmer and gentler place
if women ruled”.
What the author is saying is it would be better off if a men
were not the head of the homes or governments and if women were running the
world.
It is an indisputable fact that unregenerate women can be as
evil as unregenerate men. Adam and Eve
both fell. Both male and female are
human and have a sin nature.
Isaiah
3:12… “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over
them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way
of thy paths.” KJV
p. 179 “Marriage is not an institution, it’s a relationship.”
According to ‘The Shack’, saying ‘marriage is not an
institution’ insinuates that if a relationship is going through a rough time,
it’s not binding. Marriage is a
relationship, but it is also an institution that has nearly become destroyed by
such liberal ideas.
1 Corinthians 7:38-39… “So then he that giveth her in
marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better. The
wife is bound by he law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be
dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.” KJV
‘The Shack’ puts EXPERIENCES WITH GOD above the Bible
p. 92. ‘The Shack’s’ goddess tells Mack he wants to heal the
rift between the two of them. Whereas
we know the scripture speaks of reconciliation, the author endeavors to bring
reconciliation between God and man by redefining God and truth.
‘Mack is supposed to have an experience with
God on this weekend. This idea is
particularly intriguing to many Charismatics as well as those involved with The
Emergent Church Movement. The latter is
already incorporating eastern religions and practices into their ‘new’ brand of
Christianity. Many Charismatic’s as
well as followers of ‘The Emergent Church’, are looking for an ‘experience’
with God even more than following biblical truth. The author of ‘The Shack’ knows the vulnerability and soft points
in Christianity, and he is playing them like a symphony. When a person lives by experiences at the
expense of biblical truth, it can spiritually become fatal.
Matthew 4:4 ,Jesus said, “But he
answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone , but by
every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” KJV
Many Christians are naïve and don’t realize that Eastern
religions also offer spiritual experiences; i.e.: Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam.
But these spiritual experiences are of another spirit, 2
Corinthians 11:4. Many churches are now
involving their people in Yoga and repeatedly saying some mantra to ‘experience
God’. These ideas come from
Buddhism. Voodoo of Haiti is practiced
by many Catholics. Ju ju of Africa, and
Harry Potter are some other witchcraft activities offering spiritual
experiences, but they are all demonic.
P. 107 ‘The Shack’ LOOKS DOWN ON the King James
Bible
The reason the author attacks the
KJV is because it is an objective, accurate translation of the original
manuscripts. The proliferation of
translations taken from corrupt t manuscripts is a major problem that is
tearing Christianity apart from the within.
(See the article regarding this:
‘Changing the Bible’ www.lorendavis.com).
The author portrays those believing the Bible as drunks and hypocrites
who really don’t have a relationship with God.
It is impossible to have a close relationship with God without using the accurate Bible!
‘THE SHACK’ DISPLAYS A BITING SARCASM TOWARDS THE THINGS OF GOD
p. 19 . ‘The goddess of ‘The Shack’
says, “What’s wrong with you, Mack? Still smoking too much dope or do you just
do that on Sunday mornings to make it through the church service?”
P. 8, 10, In ‘The Shack’ says that Mack as a boy ‘was beaten with a belt and Bible verses every time his dad woke from a
stupor and put down his bottle.’ Mack has a love/hate relationship with
religion and with the God of the Bible. The Bible is a stumbling block for a
relationship, according to the author of ‘The Shack’. He views the Bible as a false and damaging book about God. Again, this is where much of the Charismatic
movement has gone as well.
The God of ‘The Shack’ talks about
conversations with God that contradicts the Scriptures. The god of ‘The Shack’
says that god says He is not confined to
some book with ink and paper, in other words, The Bible. His god infers that there is a higher
knowledge than the Bible. This is the same position that many Charismatic
preachers take. Many of them say that
God is always talking to them and that they have a higher and newer revelation
than the Bible. The Eastern religions are being subtly mixed in with
Christianity. There is no question one can have an experience with God like the
Apostle Paul did. The problem is when
one starts seeking supernatural experiences with God. It is easy to slip over inadvertently into the realm of
witchcraft and have a counterfeit
demonic experience.
2 Corinthians 11:13-14… “For such
are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the
apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for
Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” KJV
Luke 11:35…Take heed therefore that
the light which is in thee be not darkness .KJV
p. 205. The goddess of ‘The Shack’
says,
“…you won’t find the word ‘responsibility’ in the Bible.”
This is inferring we don’t have to
be responsible. The word responsibility may not be in the Bible, but it teaches
responsibility in many other words.
Luke 12:48… “For unto whomsoever
much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed
much, of him they will ask the more.” KJV
Luke 12:42 …“Who then is that
faithful and wise steward , whom his lord shall make ruler over his household,”
KJV
Proverbs 25:19… “Confidence in an unfaithful
man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.”
‘THE SHACK’ TEACHES ONE CAN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WITHOUT THE
BIBLE.
THE goddess of ‘THE SHACK’ TEACHES THAT RELATIONSHIP IS MORE IMPORTANT
THAN TRUTH AND YOU CAN HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITHOUT TRUTH.
John 8:44-46 Jesus said, “Ye are of
your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a
murderer from the beginning, and abode
not in the truth , because there is no
truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a
liar, and the father of it. And because I
tell you the truth , ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin?
And if I say the truth , why do ye
not believe me?
The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says
that good and evil are relative. There
are no absolutes.
This is pagan theology.
Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the
abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and
all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death.” KJV
p. 216. Mack kisses his father on the lips.
Any man kissing another man on the
lips is suggestive. The Bible clearly defines sin. (See the article: ‘Has God Revoked His Moral Law? www.lorendavis.com)
p. 202,
203. The Jesus of ‘The Shack’ says there
are NO TEN COMMANDMENTS;
WE ARE FREE FROM THE LAW; there are NO RULES;
and he redefines righteousness
p. 202. ‘The Shack’s goddess says, “Why do you think we came up with the Ten
Commandments?” “Actually we wanted you to try to be righteous on your own.”
“…many…think they are righteous by following the rules.” P. 203. “Are you saying I don’t have to follow the
rules,” Mack says. “Yes, in Jesus
you are not under the law. All things
are lawful.” P.198. “And
you will hear and see me in the Bible in different ways. Just don’t look for
rules and principles; look for relationship—a way of coming to us.” (This opens the scriptures to exotic
revelations and interpretation that are not rightly dividing the word of
truth).
p. 202, 205. “When
you accept Jesus you are ‘righteous’ no matter what you do.”
This is exactly what the pagan
religions teach and is the reason why the world is a living hell. Of course we
know that no matter how good one lives, without Christ we are not
righteous. But consider these
scriptures.
1 John 2:29… “If ye know that he is
righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteous is born of him.”
1 John 3:7-10 …”he that
committeth sin is of the devil; …whosoever
doeth not righteousness is not of god.”
This plays well with followers of
some major preachers in the Charismatic Movement who teach that righteousness
has nothing to do with what you do. It
is also the argument of those who teach ‘Eternal Security’ once you have
accepted Christ. In other words, sin,
or how you live, is irrelevant in one’s relationship with God. (See the article ‘Redefining righteousness’ www.lorendavis.com)
p. 206. The goddess of ‘The
Shack’, says, I’ve
never placed an expectation
on you or anyone else”
The author is saying that God has no
law against sin. This is the exactly what many so called Christian preachers
are teaching. This is Satan talking,
not God. A world without rules would be
and is, total chaos. There are rules
for how we drive in traffic; laws concerning crime, etc. Yet this writer says you can have
relationship with God without rules.
That is irrational and unscriptural. Even in marriage, spoken or not,
there are rules of faithfulness, house rules and guidelines for
relationships. Today’s ‘NO RULES
CHRISTIANITY’ has no problem with the ‘The Shack’s philosophy.
1 John 2:4. Jesus said, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not
his commandments, is a liar , and the truth is not in him.” KJV
John 14:15… Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
KJV
Matthew 5:17… Jesus said, “Think
not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to
destroy, but to fulfil.”
‘The Shack’ is saying, in no uncertain terms, that immorality,
which is sin, has no bearing on your
relationship with God. The Ten
Commandments in Exodus 20 states, ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery; thou shalt
not steal; thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife,
etc. The goddess of ‘The Shack’ legitimizes
these sins by calling them irrelevant.
p. 83. ‘The ‘Shack’s’ goddess
SAYS GOD IS LOVE ALONE
but it is not true! GOD has other attributes. God is
just; He is holy; He is righteous; He is eternal; He is faithful; He is judge.
Romans 1:18… “For the wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth
in unrighteousness;” KJV
‘The Shack’s’ goddess says that
YOU CAN’T HAVE LOVE WITH RULES
John 14:15 … Jesus said, “If ye love
me, keep my commandments.” KJV
John 15:10 …“If ye keep my
commandments, ye shall abide in my love;”
p. 163. The author mentions grace several times, contrasting it
with the law.
This is the unscriptural teaching of
Eternal Security or Once Saved Always Saved, which means no matter what sins
one commits he cannot lose his salvation.
The author of ‘The Shack’ knows that this is a major doctrine of many
main line denominations and will play
cleverly with those who believe this doctrine.
p. 155. The Shack’s goddess tells Mack, “even if people behave
badly they are still my son and daughter.”
This is the essence of the eternal security belief.
Romans 6:15… “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under
the law, but under grace? God forbid.” KJV
Jude 4… “For there are certain men
crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation,
ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness , and denying the
only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” KJV
Revelation 3:5 …“He that overcometh,
the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name
out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and
before his angels.” KJV
Revelation 21:8… “But the fearful,
and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” KJV
We know the Grace of God to forgive
is a wonderful thing, but the author’s reference to grace coincides with the
teachings of Eternal Security. (See the article ‘Eternal Security, the Huge
Gamble!’ on www.lorendavis.com)
p.120. ‘The Shack’s’ goddess
tells Mack, “I don’t need to punish
people for sin.”
Matthew 25:46 tells us… “And these shall go away into
everlasting punishment:” KJV
Ezekiel 18:20… “The soul that
sinneth, it shall die” KJV
p. 159 ’The Shack’s’ goddess says YOU DON’T HAVE TO REPENT
p. 158. The goddess of ‘The
Shack’ says, “…you are not here to repent,”
Matthew 4:17… “From that time Jesus
began to preach, and to say, Repent
: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Acts 2:38 …“Then Peter said unto
them, Repent , and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,” KJV
The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says that ‘GOOD CAN SOMETIMES BE EVIL,
AND EVIL CAN SOMETIMES BE GOOD’. THEY CAN INTERCHANGE.
(Mind games) pages 133, 134, 135, 136
p. 136. The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says “you must give up your right to decide what is good and evil on your own
terms.” What he is saying that
every man is a law unto himself. The
Bible’s is irrelevant.
P. 135. The goddess of ‘The Shack’, “If
there is no absolute of good, It is just language, and one might as well
exchange the word for the word evil.”
Isaiah 5:20… “Woe unto them that
call evil good, and good evil.” KJV
p. 156 . The goddess of ‘The Shack’ tells Mack,
you really don’t believe god is good
This goes along with the cliché,
said and sung as a mantra repeatedly throughout Christianity today, ‘God
is good all the time, all the time God is good!’
Romans 11:22… “Behold therefore the
goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity ;
but toward thee, goodness , if thou continue in his goodness : otherwise thou
also shalt be cut off.” KJV
In no uncertain terms, the goddess
of ‘The Shack’ is saying that we are not accountable to God and that there is
no Judgment Day.
Romans 14:12… “So then every one of us shall give account of
himself to God.” KJV
p. 119. ‘The Shack’s’ god says SHE/HE IS NOT A GOD
OF WRATH OR JUDGMENT.
SHE/HE DOESN’T JUDGE PEOPLE LIKE THE BIBLE
SAYS. She/He is saying The Bible is
wrong! P. 136, 157, 158, 202, 203
John 3:36 …“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting
life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the
wrath of God abideth on him.” KJV
Romans 1:18…“For the wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth
in unrighteousness;” KJV
Revelation 15:1 …“And I saw another sign in heaven, great
and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is
filled up the wrath of God.” KJV
Romans 14:10… “But why dost thou
judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat
of Christ.” KJV
The Great White Throne Judgment. Revelation 20:12… “And I saw the dead, small and great,
stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which
is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works.” KJV (See the Article: ‘Get
Prepared Now’, about The Great White Throne Judgment, on www.lorendavis.com)
The author of ‘The Shack’ declares outright that the Bible’s
image of God is a stereotype and not accurate, and that the scriptures are not
true.
The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says that WE SHOULDN’T JUDGE WHAT IS RIGHT OR
WRONG
Hebrews 5:14… “But strong meat
belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have
their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” KJV
p. 151. ‘The Shack’ quotes Albert Einstein, ‘Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a
judge of Truth and knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.”
Einstein never claimed to be a Christian.
The Bible says in John 17:17… “Sanctify them through thy
truth: thy word is truth. “KJV
John 14:6 …“Jesus saith unto him, I
am the way , the truth…” KJV
‘The Shack’ says YOU CAN JUDGE GOD, BUT DON’T JUDGE OTHER PEOPLE
P. 136, 157, 158, 202, 203
The author practices what he
preaches and systematically judges the Bible and the God, Jesus and The Holy
Spirit of the Bible in ‘The Shack’.
(See the article: ‘The Issue of Judging’ on www.lorendavis.com)
P.162 The goddess of ‘The Shack’
says, THERE IS NO HELL
Luke 12:5 “But I will forewarn you
whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast
into hell ; yea, I say unto you,
Fear him.” KJV
Revelation 21:8…. “But the fearful,
and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” KJV
The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says ‘I DON’T DO GUILT’
p. 187, 223 HE/SHE DOESN’T CONDEMN ANYONE
Romans3:19 “…that every mouth may be
stopped, and all the world may become guilty
before God.” KJV
John 3:17-18 …“For God sent not his
Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might
be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” KJV
John 8:9… “And they which heard it,
being convicted by their own conscience,
went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was
left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.” KJV
Some major teachers in the
Charismatic Movement say the same thing in teaching that we are to get rid of ‘the sin consciousness’.
‘The Shack’s’ goddess
tells of her FOREKNOWLEDGE
p. 161. The god of ‘The Shack’ says “God knew that one day your Missy would be
brutalized,”
This espouses the old doctrine of ‘the foreknowledge of God’
or ‘Predestination’ which has been around in many mainline denominations for a
long time. Think! If everything is the foreknowledge of God,
why be careful? Why even try in this
life?
The Bible says in John 3:16-17… If you believe on Christ, you shall be saved. If
you don’t believe on Him you will be damned. Deuteronomy 28 talks about the blessings of God that will come on
you IF you keep His commandments,
and a curse will come on you if you don’t.
It’s conditional! We
don’t know everything about God, but many people have had their lives cut short
by their own foolishness or by the
foolishness or evil of another person.
These horrors, murder, etc. are not foreordained of God. We have choices and there are accidents and
horrors that needlessly are caused by ones carelessness or the carelessness or
brutality of another.
The goddess of
‘THE SHACK’ SAYS, “THERE IS NO HEAVEN
AND NO STREETS OF GOLD”’
p. 178. Mack says, “I’m not too disappointed that ‘the streets
of gold’ thing isn’t the big prize. It always sounded a little boring to me…”
p. 177. “The Shack Jesus” says, “Well
Mack, our final destination is not a picture of heaven that you have stuck in
your head—you know the image of pearly gates and streets of gold.” Jesus says,
“…heaven is a picture of me and the woman I am in love with.”
THE SHACK’ LEAVES NEW
AGE FOOT PRINTS EVERYWHERE
p. 153… Wisdom is portrayed in ‘The Shack’
as a beautiful Hispanic woman named ‘Sophia’.
He says about Sophia, “She is beauty.” “Everything that sensuality strives to be…”It’s
interesting the author uses the name Sophia.
Sophia is the name of a Greek goddess who was a prostitute.
1 Corinthians 1:22-23… “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: but we
preach
Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks
foolishness;” KJV
p. 213… WE RESPOND TO
ONE ANOTHER IN COLORS. Again, this is New Age. This is reminiscent of the
religious experiences the Hippies had in the ‘60’s which were induced by
psychedelic drugs.
SPEAK WHAT YOU WANT INTO EXISTENCE!
p. 227… “Just
say it out loud. There is power in
what my children declare.” (See the article,
“The New Age, the Subtle Enemy of God’ www.lorendavis.com)
This is Christian Science, New Thought, New Age
teaching. This teaching has been
incorporated into much of the Charismatic Movement. Many Charismatic leaders have spun Mark 11:22-23 to absurdity, to
the point they say, that you can speak
things into existence just like God, by just declaring like God.
This one point has brought the New Age deep inside most of Christianity.
p. 81, 83. ‘THE
SHACK’ USES SEDUCTIVE FLOWERY WRITING AND OVERT SENTIMENTALITY. The
descriptive language appeals to the carnal, natural senses. The author knows that most people are more
interested in style than content.
p. 84 . THE gODDESS OF ‘THE
SHACK’ SAYS SHE COLLECTS TEARS
Revelation 5:8… “And
when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell
down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” KJV
Revelation 21:4 tells us that “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;”
KJV
p. 99, and p.116 in ‘The Shack’, Mackenzie can fly
This emulates the activity of witches flying in witchcraft;
‘Harry Potter’ with his sorcery, and the New Age book ‘Jonathan Livingston
Seagull’ says just ‘think it and you will be there’. ‘The Shack’ is taking its readers and crossing from Christian
experience into a demonic experience.
p. 191. FRACTALS/
The author of ‘The Shack’
talks about FRACTALS.see:Fractals, Chaos Theory, Quantum Spirituality, and The Shackwww.crossroad.to/Quotes/spirituality/.../09/8-fractals.htm
Www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/udaepp/090/w3/matthewz.html
p. 191, 197 . PARADIGMS.
Paradigm
means pattern. It is used to emphasize
the shift in thinking from one way, in this transition period, to another way
of thinking that they are taking us to.
p. 182. TRANSFORMATION.
The author of ‘The Shack’ uses the word ‘transformation’ because he knows
Christians are familiar with it. The word ‘transformation’ is also used
often in The Purpose Driven Life and is an integral part of the New Age’s
language. They use biblical words, then
redefine them for the purpose of changing the church from a spiritual
institution into a carnal New Age social institution.
They use the word ‘transformation from Romans 12:2 “And be
not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” KJV
But ‘The Shack’ and other New Age books pervert the use of
the word transformation from it’s biblical meaning and use it for
an anti-biblical agenda. ‘The
Shack’ is a book that follows ‘The Secret’, ‘The Purpose Driven Life’ as well
as countless other books, whose main purpose is to redefine and destroy
Biblical Christianity
Consider other examples of redefining words by the New Age:
The Shack’ redefines ‘holy’ to be ‘wholly’.
Other books redefine atonement to mean ‘at-one-ment’. The New Age loves to use and manipulate
familiar scriptural words and concepts to deceive Christians into their one
world, global religion. THE
SHACK’S’ GODDESS IS THE NEW AGE GOD which teaches that ‘GOD IS IN EVERYONE AND
IN EVERYTHING’. THIS IS PAGAN
PANTHEISM.
p. 112 .“God, who is the ground of all being, dwells
in, around and through all things—ultimately emerging as the real—and any
appearances that mask the reality will fall away.”
p. 241. ‘‘God is everywhere’
p. 188 . ‘The Shack’ uses total PSYCHOLOGY on its readers.
Proverbs
14:12… “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are
the ways of death.” KJV
p. 141.
The jesus of ‘The Shack’ said,
“Such a powerful ability, the imagination!”
Without doubt, the author of ‘The Shack’ turns his
imagination loose in his fantasy book.
Genesis 6:5… “And God saw that the wickedness of man was
great in the earth, and that every imagination
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” KJV
Luke 1:51… “He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath
scattered the proud in the imagination of
their hearts.”
p. 192. The author of ‘The Shack ‘ often refers to Purpose
in the same manner as PDL and PDC author, Rick Warren. There is a direct link
between Rick Warren’s ‘Purpose Driven Life’ and ‘The Shack’.
Eugene Peterson, author of ‘The Message’, a contemporary attempt at a re-work
of the Bible, endorses ‘The Shack’ on its front cover. ‘The Message’, is also the book Rick Warren
uses in his ‘Purpose Driven Life’ and calls it a bible. ‘The Shack’ and ‘The Purpose Driven Life’
oppose the KJV Bible. Do you see the
link? Both books have the same agenda
of remaking Christianity. Eugene
Peterson says that ‘The Shack’ will do for the church what John Bunyan’s book, Pilgrim’s
Progress did. The fact is, it will
do just the opposite. John Bunyan
believed the Bible was the infallible Word of God and believed in the God of
the Bible.
The change that both ‘The Shack’ and Rick Warren’s New
Reformation is talking about is to take the Christian church away from the real
God and the real Jesus of the Bible.
(See the articles: ‘Is Rick
Warren Really a Conservative Christian?’;
‘The Purpose Driven Life is Unscriptural’ and ‘The Race for Africa’ www.lorendavis.com)
The Emergent Church is a movement within Christianity
that is mixing eastern mysticism with Christianity. This movement is producing a hybrid version
of Christianity, which is, in reality, not Christian. See: www.crossroad.to/News/Church/emergent.html
‘The Shack’ is a New
Age ‘CHANGE AGENT’.
The goddess
of ‘The Shack’ says “growth means change… change involves risk…” moving from
“the known into the unknown” .
The Shack’ is nothing but MYTHOLOGY, just as in ancient
Greek mythology, they humanized their gods.
The author is saying that we should take a risk and move away from what
we know about God from the Bible, and go to the unknown, the arena of
mystical experience and fantasy.
‘THE SHACK’
HAS A POLITICAL ONE WORLD, GLOBAL AGENDA
The
U.N. Millineum Conference declared its ambition to be a one world government
p. 149. ‘The Shack’s’ Jesus says to Mack, “Being my follower is not trying to be like
Jesus’, it means for your
independence to be killed.’ This is
socialism and globalism being taught in Jesus’ name. This is Marxists Liberation theology.
p. 190.
The goddess of ‘The Shack’ says that ALL EVIL COMES FROM INDEPENDENCE. The he/she god makes a not so subtle attack on individualism;
individual thinking; and the right of a person to make his own choices. This is the mentality of totalitarians who
demand that the masses comply totally with their authorities. Rick Warren, author of the PDL, has
been working with the U.N. in promoting the Global Peace Initiative. In his book he says that we must give up
our individual agenda for the community agendas. He often speaks of being ‘interdependent’. Being ‘interdependent’ is the U.N.’s
language. The U.N. in its Millennium conference stated that time of an ‘exclusive savior’, (which obviously is
referring to Jesus Christ), is
over. “BEING INDEPENDENT IS THE
BIGGEST SIN.” p. 123, 124, 132, 165
The U.N. and New Age
authors say that an ‘exclusive savior is not conducive to world peaceT he
author of ‘The Shack’ is against the national sovereignty of nations and
against freedom itself. Anything
independent, to ‘The Shack’s’ god, is evil.
p. 181. The goddess
of ‘The Shack’ says, “Remember, the people who know me are the ones who are
free to live and love without an agenda.” The author of ‘The Shack’ has a big agenda
in his book. He wants us to give up our
agenda and buy into his. His whole book
has an agenda.
‘The Shack’ is playing a political role in helping bring
about a world government. Freedom of
thought; freedom of speech and freedom of religion will be a thing of the
past. They want us all to become
Universalists, which is ultimately to become godless who believe in no
absolutes. They want all mankind to
become pawns of an international state.
The goddess of ‘The
Shack’ is an ECOLOGIST. This fits in with the U.N.’s agenda to use global warming as
a pretext to set up a world government. (See the articles: ‘A Central World Government is Coming’, and
‘Global Warming Related to Bible Prophecy’ www.lorendavis.com).
THE SHACK’ APPEALS‘ TO
EMOTIONALLY ORIENTED PEOPLE
Proverbs 1:22 “How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight
in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?”KJV
2 Corinthians 11:3 …“But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted
from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
KJV
James 3:12 “…can no fountain both yield salt water and
fresh.” KJV You cannot mix lies with
the truth without corrupting the truth.
p. 164 . The goddess of “The Shack” says, “maybe
your understanding of God is wrong”
We get our understanding of God from the Holy Bible. The Bible is the bedrock of the Christian
faith. When faith in the Bible is
destroyed, Christianity is finished. This is the objective!
2 Peter 1:20-21 “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the
scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old
time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the
Holy Ghost.” KJV
p. 197. The goddess
of ‘The Shack’ says, “Be willing to reexamine what you believe.”
In other words, he is saying we should reject what we have
been taught in the Bible.
The story in the “The Shack” is a clever and seductive mind
game that the author subtly weaves to cause you to doubt the veracity of the
Bible. This is very deceptive for those
who don’t know the scriptures or do not believe in their inerrancy. Eve was deceived by the subtleness of the serpent.
Genesis 3:1… Satan, disguised as a serpent told her, “Hath God said?” … “He didn’t mean it.”
Genesis 3:3-4. This is the exact
message ‘The Shack’ is giving about the Word of God.
The goddess, jesus and holy spirit
of ‘The Shack’ do not reflect the God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in the Bible The author is a magician who tricks his
audience using the sleight of hand. In this case, words. The author of ‘The Shack’ is an illusionist
working his magic on gullible, naïve Christians and superstitious people.
The Shack’ is a fantasy novel. It is filled with dark
mysticism which is intentionally contrived to lead one, not only away from
sound Bible doctrine, but to follow ‘The Shack’s’ thinking which will eventually separate one from God;
cause mental problems and can even open the door to demon possession. Just because there are a few things the author
says are scripturally true, does not in any way make the book truth. The author picks and chooses scriptures to
allude to while attacking most of the teachings of the other scriptures.
The author brings God down to the human level which is
exactly what the Greeks and ancient Romans did. The intent here is obvious to
people who are knowledgeable about the scriptures, mythology and the world
global movement. In the name of love,
it is herding Christians into the one
world religion that the Bible prophesied is coming and which will
eventually merge with the Antichrist and his political system. Revelation 17. (See the article:
Profiling the Antichrist’ www.lorendavis.com).
If everyone’s god/goddess teachings are similar but the
religions are just called by different names, it will be easy to merge them
into one religion. That is the
agenda. The author of ‘The Shack’
knows exactly where he is going and where he wants to take you.
Jeremiah 51:40… “I will bring them down like lambs to the
slaughter , like rams with he goats.” KJV
2 Peter 1:16… “For we have not followed cunningly devised fables , when we made known unto you the power
and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.” KJV
Timothy 1:4… “Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather
than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.” KJV
‘The Shack’ throws aside rational thinking.
THE DEADLINESS OF WHAT
THE AUTHOR IS DOING IN ‘THE SHACK’ IN USING THE NAME OF THE GOD, THE
JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE BIBLE, AND THEN REDEFINING THEM INTO
WHAT HE THINKS THEY SHOULD BE, is pushing aside Bible Doctrine and replacing it
with his own theology. He is making a
deliberate farce out of God.
Exodus 20:7… The Ten Commandments, “Thou
shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in Vain.” This is exactly what he is doing. He is misusing the name of God, Jesus and
the Holy Spirit. He has no fear or
respect of God.
2 Thesselonians 2:11-12… “And for this cause God shall send
them strong delusion, that they
should believe a lie : That they all
might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness.” KJV
Colossians 2:8… “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition
of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” KJV
Galations 3:1… “O foolish Galatians,
who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth,” KJV
2 Timothy 3:1-9… “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. For men shall be lovers of their
own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the
power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with
sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and
Jambres withstood Moses, so do these
also resist the truth: men of corrupt
minds, as theirs also was.” KJV
Galations 1:1-9… “Grace be to you and peace from God the
Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he
might deliver us from this present evil
world, “ “ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you
into the grace of Christ unto another
gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would
pervert
the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let
him be accursed.” KJV
2 Thesselonians 2:11-12… “And for this cause God shall send
them strong delusion, that they should believe
a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.” KJV
2 Corinthians 10:5… “Casting down imaginations, and
every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” KJV
2 Corinthians 11:4… “For if he that cometh preacheth another
Jesus , whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another
spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which
ye have not accepted, “ KJV
Proverbs 14:12… “There is a way which seemeth right unto a
man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” KJV
‘The Shack’ is an enemy of Christianity.
THERE IS A CONCERTED
INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRACY
AGAINST THE BIBLE,
GOD, JESUS CHRIST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Shack’ is just one of a long array of fronts whose
purpose is to destroy faith in the Bible and Jesus Christ, i.e.: Marxism, Communism, Islam, Public
Education, the New Age, atheism, and denominations and preachers who reject the KJV and replace it with a vast
number of flawed translations. This attack on the Bible and Jesus Christ is a
diabolical systematic long range plan conceived by Satan himself. At some point these streams will come together
and become a mighty flood that will usher in the Antichrist who will be a
ruthless and bloody dictator of the world.
Individualism and freedom will be dead.
It will be global tyranny unparalleled in history.
The Purpose Driven Life, The Secret, The Shack; much of the
Charismatic Movement; the New Age, and
the Emergent church, all spin the Bible to infinitum and they are destroying
its credibility. They have these
teachings in common: experience or revelation is superior to the Bible;
there are no Ten Commandments; there is no guilt; no sin; no punishment;
no Judgment Day; we are not to judge; we don’t have to repent; the
unconditional love of God; God is only good; there is no heaven; there is no
hell except for this life; we are all the children of God; we are all one;
everyone will eventually be saved no matter what one believes.
The Shack’ is just one of the New Age books that are filling
not only the shelves of secular bookstores, but is also on the shelves of Christian bookstores. This is the New Age strategy of destroying
Christianity from within. The author of
‘The Shack’ and other New Age spiritual books are playing to the mystical
nature of many Christians as well as
non-Christians who can’t discern the difference between ancient medieval mysticism
and biblical spirituality. This is the New
Spirituality and the author knows exactly what he is doing. May the church wake up!
