Why is America in Trouble?
Copyright Loren Davis 2008In America today prayer has been outlawed in public schools. At government functions one can say “God” but not the name of Jesus. The reality is that we have become a politically correct, inclusive society putting all gods on an equal plane. This really shows that those espousing this are atheists and don’t believe in God at all. They just say God to pacify the people.
A SECULAR NATION
Leaders want this to be a secular nation without God, without Christ, and without moral restraint.Our country has outlawed the Ten Commandments in schools and in our court houses. States are legalizing homosexual marriages. The country has legalized abortion, but sends people to prison for dog fighting. It’s amazing when dogs have attained a higher status than an unborn human being.
Jeremiah 1:5 ... “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee ; and before thou camest forth out of the womb...” KJV
In the Old Testament when God prospered the Israelites they forgot Him and went whoring after other gods. The same thing has happened to America. When this nation sought Christ and lived by God’s Word, God blessed us and we became the most prosperous nation in the world. Now pride has entered our hearts and we don’t think we need God.
Isaiah 53:6 “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way”...

THE TOLERANT SOCIETY
America prides itself in being a tolerant society. It is amazing that virtually everything is tolerated to be discussed in the classroom and in public except that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of man, and that the Bible is the Word of God. Society is intolerant of anyone speaking negatively against any other religion, but it is open season to attack Jesus, the Bible and Bible believing Christians. This is selective tolerance. In reality, it is gross intolerance of Christianity and is not too subtle an attack on our freedom of speech.A SPIRITUALY POLLUTED NATION
We have laws to protect our environment against pollution, but we say nothing about polluting the minds and spirits of our people via TV, books, movies, etc. Society glorifies sin, inflames men’s passions, and then imprisons them when they go over the edge. Is this reason?Proverbs 14:12-13... “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.” KJV
Matthew. 24:12-13 ...“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
PUBLIC EDUCATION
Public education is not neutral towards Jesus Christ and the Bible. Christianity is the only religion that is openly fair game to be defied at schools. In our classrooms many teachers and professors continually contradict and mock the Bible. Most of the times it is subtle, but some times it is overt. Atheism, Marxism and the New Age have taken over our public educational system. Many educators are nothing more than atheistic preachers. Of course, there are still God fearing teachers in the system, but the system itself is anti-Christian. Americans have been systematically brainwashed through our schools and entertainment industry to live lifestyles that are destructive and opposite of what the Bible teachesEVOLUTION
Our schools that are publicly funded by tax dollars, cram down our children’s throats the godless, atheistic teaching of evolution. Why are we surprised when our citizens behave like animals when we have taught them systematically that they are nothing more than just another animal? If man is just an animal there is no accountability to God. Nothing is wrong. The real reason the theory of evolution was developed was to justify living in sin. A destructive lifestyle is not caused because by our raw animal instinct, it is the result of being born in sin. That is why we need a Savior to deliver us from the power of sin.Psalms 14:1 ...“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works,” KJV
NO DEVIL
We are taught that there is no devil and those who believe he exists are mocked, yet how else can we explain the insanity of mass murderers like Charles Manson; child molesters, and sadistic murderous dictators like Hitler?Their behavior was not caused just by psychological problems stemming from having a bad childhood. Few people have had an ideal childhood, but most turn out to be ‘normal’ people The only valid explanation for the beastly acts of these people is that they were take over by demon spirits.
Matthew 8:28... “And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.” KJV
Yet we never learn. 2 Timothy 3:7 ...“Ever learning , and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” KJV
COMPARING GOD’S TEN COMMANDMENTS WITH THE NEW AGE RELIGION OF REASON. You determine which one is rational.
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, Exodus 20:3-17
“THOU SHALT NOT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME”Some of our leaders have declared that this is no longer a Christian nation. They are saying America is now a Judeo-Christian-Islamic nation. This has defied God’s commandment not to have any other gods before Him. At public government events speakers can refer to God, but not Jesus. I believe in freedom of religion and that no religion should be imposed on anyone, but this is an affront to the living God and has defied Him.
Psalms 2:1-2... “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD...” KJV
Psalms 33:12... “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD”. KJV
“THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT COVET...”
The main reason we can’t build prisons fast enough is because there are so many thieves among us. There are blue collar crimes and white collar crimes. Whether it is stealing using a gun or doing a con job on some one, it is still stealing.
The consequences of stealing are evident. The thief often is robbing not only the item but years worth of work from his victim that it took him to obtain it. The thief faces a strong possibility of being imprisoned and losing his freedom which would result in tremendous hardship not only for himself but also on his wife, children and parents. His reputation can be ruined, and he can even be shot and killed. A thief cares nothing about anything but getting what he can get the easiest and fastest way.
Amazingly enough, many thieves when they are released from prison, return to their life of crime. Many never learn! Sin is so powerful, most people ignore the consequences. Sin, the flesh, drives one to push the envelope and gamble with his life. Where is rationality?

“THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS”, or LIE”.
Lying is the means people use to take advantage of others in business deals and in personal relationships. It is deception. Lying will ruin your reputation and will eventually hurt you financially. No one trusts a liar, and he has few friends.
Num 32:23 “be sure your sin will find you out.” KJV
Rev. 21:8 “says ALL LIARS will have their part in the lake of fire”
“HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER”
There is no place for child abuse, but in America children can now turn their parents in to the authorities for even disciplining them. The state has taken the place of parents as the father and mother of children. In class rooms and a lot of today’s music, children are encouraged to rebel against their parents, and we wonder why children are so uncontrollable?
Prov 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” KJV
Children today in the public education system are being taught diametrically opposite the Bible. If children are taught not to respect the authority of their parents, eventually they won’t respect the authority of their government either.
Young people are rebelling against their parents, the very ones who love them and stand to protect them from making the same mistakes they made when they were young. Yet it seems generation after generation goes down the same path of rebellion and learns nothing from the past generations.
“THOU SHALT NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN”
Ex 20:7 “for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” KJV
This commandment is being broken every day with many saying, ‘God damn’. It is also being violated by many preachers preaching doctrines opposite of what Christ taught in Jesus’ name and prophesying ‘thus saith the Lord’ when the Lord has said nothing.
“THOU SHALT NOT KILL”
We know the Bible gives exceptions for self defense and standing in defense of one’s country, i.e.: David and Samson in the Bible; but premeditated murder originates from a heart full of hate.
1 John 3:15 Jesus said, “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him” KJV
Murder is irrational not only because of the consequences for the one you kill and their family, but also for the consequences that will come on the murderer himself: running in fear, guilt, shame; and potentially of spending the rest of his life in prison or even getting executed. None of these consequences seem to be a deterrent. It is irrational!
“THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY”
Adultery and fornication are the main sources of the major part of miseries in the world today: fatherless children, street children, abortion, hate, divorce, children scarred for life, financial disaster, teen pregnancies; ruined lives; heartache, sorrow, mental breakdown, AIDS, veneral disease, suicide and murder. Many are willing to gamble their families and own personal financial welfare to have a one night affair.
Youth often believe that God will not hold them accountable for sins of their youth, but even natural law contradicts that. Many of the decisions you make while you are young will follow you all the days of your life. God may forgive you if you repent, but there are still lingering consequences of sins that will follow you to your grave. Sins of the youth can ruin you and make you miserable the rest of your life.
Eccl 11:9 “ Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.” KJV
Don’t think that just because you are young God will overlook your sins.

Most who do not believe the Bible have little or no conscience regarding sin or hurting others. Without a conscience anyone is capable of doing anything.
People know the consequences of affairs, yet do it anyway. Where is rationality?
In Mombasa, Kenya we have seen many elderly men and women hiring African prostitutes even though HIV is so prevalent there. After being with prostitutes, they return home and spread aids. All the money in the world will not stop aids if we don’t stop committing adultery. This is insane behavior by educated, ‘mature’ people! We have noticed that even when people get old they still have the same old lusts they had in their youth, unless they have been truly saved.

Where is reason? Sin makes you dumb and stupid!
HOMOSEXUALITY Lev. 20:13
Today some states in America have even legalized homosexual marriages.
What does the Bible say about this behavior?
Rom 1:26-27” For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” KJV
Col 3:5-6 “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection , evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience” KJV
Luke 17:28-30 “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot (at Sodom); they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” KJV
Homosexuality brought the judgment of God. Today America and other nations have ignored or forgotten that lesson and are becoming like Sodom.

The Bible declares homosexuality is a sin and that God changes not. Mal. 3:6 If God ever hated homosexuality, He still does.
One of the major reasons people get HIV is because of homosexuality, yet we are legitimizing it as being as normal as heterosexuality. We are spending billions of dollars on trying to stop Aids, which we should do, but at the same time are saying nothing about the main thing causing it: adultery, fornication, and homosexuality. Where is reason?
America is the smartest, dumbest nation in history. We totally ignore history and think it will not repeat with us. History has an unchanging pattern and the wheel is turning.
“DRUNKENNESS” Gal. 5:21
The world looks for its good times by drinking and getting drunk. Some of the cruise lines are nothing but party ships. They are centered around casinos and bars. Many come to the ship for a vacation in a festive mood, but leave in a somber mood financially broken because of their gambling. It is easy to exploit some one who is drinking. His natural survival faculties have been deadened and he lives just for the moment.
Bars are the devils revival centers. They are packed every night. The clients are blowing their hard earned money for a moment’s relief while their family is doing without at home. Drinking is the base of financial ruin and for so much hell in our homes which too often ends tragically in divorce and child abuse.
DRUG PUSHERS are in a similar category as those who sell liquor. Both liquor and illicit drugs have the power to destroy lives. Selling illicit drugs is done solely to benefit the pusher not considering the lives it will destroy. This racket is a deadly game of Russian Roulette. It can get you killed or imprisoned.
STRIFE
Many people are not happy unless they are in strife all the time. This is one reason why soap operas are so popular. Many love strife. It empowers them. They feed on it. They then bring strife into their own families and make their homes a soap opera and hell on earth. The Bible says strife is a sin.
Gal 5:20-21” Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife...as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” KJV
Phil 2:3 “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” KJV
DEBT Young people getting out of high school today are given credit cards. This is damning many of them to start out life in debt and under pressure. How are they going to be ready to get married and support a family? We are encouraged to ‘get it now’, buy on credit or get a loan. Buying a home or car can be justified if one doesn’t get greedy and buy over his head.
But the day will come when you will have to pay your loans back with interest or go bankrupt. How are you going to live today paying on yesterday’s frivolous debts. Many even borrow to gamble. What happens when people live over their heads then lose their jobs or get sick and can’t work. Indebtedness causes anxiety, stress; causes high blood pressure and heart attacks; destroys marriages and is bringing many American families and a whole nation into ruin. Living in debt is a false prosperity. There is coming a day when you will have to pay for living a borrowed lifestyle. You now are no more that a slave. Where is reason?
Prov 22:7 “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” KJV
SMOKING, OVEREATING AND EATING FAST FOODS are deadly to our health. We are told this over and over, but people keep doing it. To live like this you must first turn your brain off and let your flesh run your life.
People know that smoking causes cancer and will kill you, yet many still smoke. They live for the moment and will do anything to get some temporary relief, not thinking of the long term consequences. Everyone thinks they are the exception to the rule. No one wants to be warned about anything today.
2 Peter 2:18-19 “they allure through the lusts of the flesh , through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.” KJV
THE SIN CULTURE
America and the world have developed a SIN CULTURE. Our people as a whole have become ‘party animals’. Our culture is centered around sin. It has been said that culture is more powerful in forming people’s values even more so than its religion.The biggest selling books and movies are about WITCHCRAFT AND SORCERY which the Bible condemns and calls sin (Gal. 5:20). Gambling has become a major industry even with state legalized lottery. Gambling has ruined many families and taken them to the poor house. Most MUSIC is centered around drinking and cheating. Pornography is very popular even on the internet. Las Vegas is unashamedly called ‘Sin City’. It is said that ‘no one knows what goes on at Las Vegas’, but God knows. Most MOVIES AND TV PROGRAMS are about adultery, cheating, lying, deception, violence, murder and every vile evil lifestyle. How can one saturate himself watching or listening to this garbage and not be programmed and corrupted by it? You become what you feed your mind on.
Why is ‘adult entertainment’ so popular? People love sin. Let’s get honest. It’s not ‘adult’ entertainment, it is ‘sinners’ entertainment. The world glorifies evil. Its philosophy is live for the moment, ‘let the devil take tomorrow’. Well, tomorrow always comes. Sin bites hard.
Jer. 17:10 says “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
1 John 2:15-17 “Love not the world , neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” KJV
IS THE NEW AGE ACTUALLY A NEW PHILOSOPHY?
They call this the New Age but in reality it is just the same old philosophy sinners have lived by even in ancient history. There is nothing new under the sun regarding man’s behavior. The old sinful lifestyle has just been repackaged and relabeled. Sinners want a life without God and without rules. They want to be their own god. Today there is little self control. The world’s philosophy is “Eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die”.Prov 14:9 “Fools make a mock at sin” KJV

Many hate God, but they are going to lose!
Architecture and technology may change, but sin and its consequences never change. That is why the Bible is as relevant today as when it was written. People are throwing their lives away and not looking towards eternity at all. Where is reason?
COLLEGE EDUCATED BUT MORALLY CORRUPT
A college education may improve your quality of life on earth, but it doesn’t change the heart of man. Give a man an education who steels a loaf of bread, and he will steal the bread company. An education won’t change the heart of a man. One can be highly educated and still corrupt.Today we have redefined morality: Bad has become good, and good has become bad. Sin is viewed as cool and living by God’s Word scoffed at as being antiquated.
The problem is not that we don’t have enough education, but philosophically and ideologically we have given the wrong education to our citizens. It is understandable that this nation is made up of people of many different religions, and we should not impose any religion on anyone in public education. But the fact is that we have imposed the New Age, atheistic, antichrist and anti-Bible ideologies on all our children in our public schools. Our educational system is not neutral regarding Christ and the Bible, yet Christians are forced to pay taxes to finance something they are against. Where is ‘government by the people and for the people’? Even if Bible believing Christians are now a minority, in America we are supposed to respect and protect the rights of the minorities. That’s what’s supposed to make us different.
Our citizens are being taught a philosophy that is destroying them.
THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY
2 Thess 2:7 “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:” KJVThe mystery about iniquity is that most people never learn from history or from other peoples’ mistakes. They continue to sin even though they know it can kill them. Sin is self destructive, yet so many keep doing it.

RULED BY EMOTIONS
The New Age is actually hypocritical. It says it is the philosophy of ‘reason’, but at the same time promotes judging things on emotions and feelings rather than using one’s brains. If you judge things and make decisions by your emotions you are destined to be deceived and have your life shattered.Jer 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it ?” KJV

If you believe your feelings above the Bible, you are headed for disaster.

Psychology has replaced the Bible in society, and yet with all our education we have never figured out the very basics that it is sin that is destroying us; either our own sins or someone else who has sinned against us.
OUR VALUES
Our society glorifies culture, cleverness, brains, beauty, sophistication, talent, and style. These things are good to appreciate. But at the same time society also glorifies guile, deceit and ridicules character, virtue and truth. As a nation we have just become sophisticated sinners headed for destruction and hell, but we are going there with class.OUR HEROES
Many of our greatest entertainers that many virtually worship, live or lived hard sinful lives. Many of them died prematurely because of their hard sinful living. These are the people we exalt and emulate.MODERN EXAMPLES OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN
A seventeen year old young man jumped off a ship and committed suicide because he had been sodomized by two other young men. He never could get over it.A man was on a cruise ship with his family on a vacation. He lost thousands of dollars in its casino. At three A.M. one morning he jumped overboard because he was financially ruined.
A person living in sin is not in his right mind. If you are living in sin you are your own worst enemy. Sin is a killer, destroyer and damner. Sin puts people in insane asylums. Sometimes it’s not the sins they committed that caused them to lose their minds, but often it was the sin of someone else who violated them that caused it. Sin like death is never satisfied. The only way sinners will stop sinning is if they lose their strength or die. The only real way anyone can stop sinning is coming to Christ.
YOUR FLESH WILL KILL YOU.
Living by your emotions is living by the flesh. It will kill you.Ro. 8:13 says that if you live by the flesh you will die. But few believe it.
Nu. 32:23 “Be sure your sin will find you out.” Maybe you can hide your sins from others for awhile, but your sin will eventually hunt you down like a dog. You can’t run or hide from it.
THE PARTY LIFE
We send our young people to universities where they learn how to party, drink, and fornicate. They learn how to be professional sinners and rationalize it. They are taught nothing is wrong except believing Jesus is the only way to heaven and the Bible is the Word of God.They go to parties for the purpose of sinning: drinking, drugs, and sex. Many plan on stopping this lifestyle when they get older, but they get hooked on sin and can’t turn it off. They develop a sinful character pattern in their youth. Many become reprobate and can no longer differentiate between right from wrong.
Rom 1:28-2:1 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, ... Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication: ...Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” KJV
America has become a ‘party nation’. There is a Country and Western song called, “The Party Never Ends”. That just is not true!
Heb 11:25 the Bible talks of “the pleasures of sin for a season;” KJV
The fun and pleasures of the world is sin. One can party hard and live a life of sin, but one day the party will be over. It is terrible to have sleepless nights because of a guilty conscience. Many are rich and have everything but peace. Sin will leave your life in ruins; you can die prematurely and then face God to account for your irresponsible, defiant life. The party will be over someday either by divorce, accidents, prison, ruined health, financial ruin, or death.

CHRISTIANITY TODAY HAS BEEN REINVENTED
Since America is a professing Christian nation, how is it possible that America has fallen so far morally? The only answer is only a small portion of the Bible has been preached in most pulpits, and most of the Bible has been ignored. Of course there are still many godly preachers in the country. But on the whole most messages are right out of the New Age and success handbooks. Many preachers are preaching psychology, feel good politically correct messages, that will draw more crowds and money. The sermon most often is a feel good message that God loves you no matter what you do, rather than challenging people to repent and turn from their sins.Most messages are about ‘you’ and how ‘you’ can be successful. Most churches today do not preach about Jesus, except for a casual reference; don’t preach about salvation; sin; the cross; or the blood. Many preachers today spin the scriptures and even change their meanings.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRUE GOSPEL?
We have churches on every street corner and many ‘Christian’ TV networks and radio stations. But how long has it been since you heard a message centered around Jesus, the cross, the blood, against sin, about eternity, the judgment day, heaven or hell? Churches have become bigger mainly because they have become like the world. Many of them are just community centers. Too many churches just pacify the consciences of sinners. The message of the cross has virtually been forgotten.1 Cor 1:18-20 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness ; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God...” KJV
A THIS LIFE GOSPEL
In society today there is virtually no thought of life after death, it’s all about what you can get now. Much of this thinking has come from many pulpits and modern theology.Ps 17:14 “From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life,” KJV
WHY DOES THE WORLD HATE CHRIST AND THE BIBLE?
John 3:19-20 Jesus said, “Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”Many professing ‘Christians’ are no different in practice from those who don’t go to church. So many are going to church, but are not changing. The preacher is just soothing their conscience and picking up their tithes. They are still living sinful lifestyles. They have just been ‘christianized’ and are just as corrupt as the ‘non-Christian’.
A majority of ‘Christians’ have been taught in essence that just as long as they have accepted Christ they can live any way they want and still go to heaven. No wonder Jesus called the Pharisees ‘hypocrites’. This is taking advantage of the grace of God. With all the churches we have if we were really preaching the Bible, our society wouldn’t be in the moral condition it’s in today.
Jude 4 “ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness ,” KJV
Rom 6:15 “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid “ KJV
John 14:21 Jesus said, “He that hath my commandments , and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” KJV
Why do people sin? Because they are sinners and that’s what sinners do. It’s natural for a sinner to cheat, do scams, have con deals, fornicate, be a prostitute, sell liquor, drugs, and look at pornography. It’s as natural for a sinner to sin as it is for a fish to swim. Sinners don’t care who they hurt. They don’t even care about themselves. Sin is suicidal!
TODAY THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD
Ps 111:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:” KJVMatt 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” KJV
In most of Christianity it is viewed ‘unchristian’ to warn people about anything. That viewpoint is not biblical.
Ezek 33:9 God says, “warn the wicked, or they will die in their sins”
AMERICA AND AMERICANS ARE AT A CROSSROAD
We are reaping today the seeds that have been sown for a long time. Our country did not get in this bad of shape over night.The American government has outlawed the Ten Commandments in schools and court houses, and then we wonder why we are having to spend so much tax dollars building more prisons. We can’t build them fast enough. Where is reason? Can’t we figure this thing out? It’s the law of ‘cause and effect’.
America looks like heaven on the surface to someone visiting from another country, but underneath most of our people are in debt; our homes are falling apart and full of strife; we are devouring each other in crooked business deals; crime is everywhere; adultery, lying, stealing, depression, racism; no personal peace; insanity and suicide are rampant. The reason America is in trouble is because Americans are in trouble.
Prov 30:12 “There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes , and yet is not washed from their filthiness.” KJV
IS JUDGMENT COMING ON AMERICA?
SIN IS WHY GOD’S JUDGMENT CAME ON NATIONS IN THE PAST; i.e.: The flood in Noah’s day; Sodom and Gomorrah.Ps 9:18 “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and ALL THE NATIONS THAT FORGET GOD.” KJV
What makes us think that America is different from any other nation. If we forget God, forget Jesus Christ, ignore God’s Word, continue living in sin, judgment will come on us like it did on the nations of the past. The Bible is full of examples. What makes you think we are exempt?
After 9-11 the churches were packed in America and people were praying, but shortly afterwards attendance fell off and people turned back to their old sinful lifestyles. This was pure hypocrisy. Do not think that God didn’t take notice.
A SIMILAR SITUATION EXISTED WITH ISRAEL
Isa 10:6-5 “O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.” KJVGod used the Assyrian to judge Israel, whom He called ‘the hypocritical nation’.
The prophet Jeremiah warned Israel if they didn’t return to God they would go into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar, the Assyrian. They didn’t believe him and became slaves.
Assyria is modern day Iraq. It is amazing that we are locked in battle in a quagmire with the same nation that God used to judge Israel because of its backslidings and hypocrisies towards Him. I don’t think this just a mere coincidence?
THE JUDGMENT OF GOD IN NOAH’S DAY
Gen 6:5-7 “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;” KJVGen 6:3 “And the LORD said, MY SPIRIT SHALL NOT ALWAYS STRIVE WITH MAN,” KJV
Matt 24:37-39 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” KJV
JUDGMENT CAN BE AVERTED
America has everything and still is not happy. The U.S. has been prospered by God, but now it has forgotten its heritage.Our mighty military cannot stop the judgment we are bringing on our own heads. Like Rome, we are being destroyed by corruption from within.
Ps 20:7 “Some trust in chariots , and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” KJV
I love America and its people. I believe it’s not too late, and that judgment still can be averted. History has a habit of repeating itself. We can ignore history, but history will not ignore us. The wheel is now turning. If you don’t learn from history and others mistakes, you are destined to repeat it.
Gal 6:7-8 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth , that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” KJV
Deut 30:19 “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” KJV
2 Chron 7:14 “IF MY PEOPLE, WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.” KJV
There is no Plan B. Jesus Christ is the only hope for our nation and the world.
GOD SAVE AMERICA!
ONE DAY WE WILL ALL FACE GOD
There is another Judgment Day when all will stand before God to give an account of their lives. Among other things, you will be judged on what you have done with Jesus and have you kept God’s commandments.Heb 9:28 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die , but after this the judgment:” KJV
Eccl 12:14 “ For God shall bring every work into judgment , with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” KJV
Rom 2:16 “In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” KJV
You might have fooled a lot of people, but you can’t hide from God.
Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” KJV
*Mt. 16:26 “What profits a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul, or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul.”
THERE IS AN ANSWER FOR YOU PERSONALLY
Your sins destroys others and destroys yourself, but Christ will redeem you from your sins if you will call on Him. Your life can become a blessing instead of a curse. To save the nation it has to begin on an individual level.Rom 6:23-7:1 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” KJV
1 Co 15:3 “CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS.” That’s how bad sin is. Jesus did not come to legalize sin so we could sin with impunity, but to give us power over sin.
Heb 10:26-31 “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
